Those fans that were lucky enough to catch Kanye West at the South By Southwest (SXSW) music festival in 2009 at the Fader Fort are in for another special treat. The Chicago rapper and producer brings his big time act back to Austin, Texas and will be performing this Saturday night (March 19) at midnight.

Mr. Kanye to the West has been confirmed by Idolator as the headlining performer at the VEVO Power Station. When ‘Ye performed last at the SXSW festival, his guests included singer Mr. Hudson, current G.O.O.D. Music signee Big Sean and a then-friendly compatriot Consequence.

No special guests have been confirmed for this performance but a lot of possibilities exist as Kanye was able to snag just about anyone he desired for his popular “G.O.O.D. Fridays” freebie music series and his epic My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album. Jay-Z? Drake? Swizz Beatz? Who else will join the Louis Voutton Don for his stellar performance?

Many of Kanye’s biggest tracks such as “All Of The Lights” featuring pop starlet and island beauty Rihanna and “Monster” which showcase heavy-hitters Rick Ross, Jay-Z and the scene-stealing rap diva Nicki Minaj. If Kanye is able to snag some of his A-List features to rock the VEVO stage alongside him, this figures to be a performance to remember for the fans in attendance.

SXSW is one of the most celebrated and well-attended music festivals of the year, and the annual affair attracts some of the biggest names in music and film. The festival’s main aim is to highlight the confluence of music, film media and technology.

After taking to Twitter en masse to offer personal, idiosyncratic tributes and prayers for the people and nation of Japan in the moments after a deadly 9.0 earthquake rocked the industrial giant on Friday (March 11), celebrities are today using the popular social media venue to rally behind a single, unifying message: donate.

“Remember as you go about your day please #prayforjapan & if you are able, text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $ 10 to Japan’s emergency relief,” rocker Katy Perry tweeted early Sunday morning (March 13).

“EVERYONE KEEP TEXTING!! The quake & tsunami victims in Japan NEED US!!!” P. Diddy extolled multiple times on his verified account.

The message was echoed throughout the morning and afternoon by stars ranging from Conan O’Brien, to Chris Brown and George Takei, each asking their followers to donate to the humanitarian organization, which has three times won the Nobel Peace Prize for its relief efforts.

The Red Cross and other relief organizations will face a unique challenge in the aftermath of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, which in addition to a massive loss of life now estimated at upwards of 14,000 people, has caused a developing nuclear crisis in the Pacific island chain, with partial meltdowns and explosions occurring at several of Japan’s nuclear reactors, according to The New York Times.

Facing explosions due to the build-up of hydrogen, technicians, racing to cool overheating reactors, have taken to flooding them with sea water, according to a report on CNN.

Less resolvable, but perhaps equally devastating, was news Sunday afternoon that the Shinmoedake volcano on Japan’s southern island of Kyushu resumed activity and erupted, spewing ash and lava into the air and breaking windows up to miles away. It is not known if the eruption is linked to the earthquake.

As large swaths of territory remain all but unreachable due to water, Japan has planned to dispatch more than 100,000 of its defense forces to aid in recovery.

But with roughly 1,300 people already confirmed dead, several thousand more reported missing, several hundred thousand more evacuated from their homes, and several million more without access to power, food or water, Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan took to the airwaves Sunday, calling the earthquake the “toughest and the most difficult crisis for Japan” since the end of World War II.

“We Japanese had a lot of difficulties in the past, but we were able to overcome those difficulties to reach this peaceful and prosperous society we have been able to build,” he said, as reported by CNN. “I ask each one of you, please have such determination, and deepen your bond with your family members, your neighbors and the people in your community to overcome this crisis so that Japan can be a better place. We can do it together.”

The destruction may not be over. The earthquake, the largest in recorded Japanese history, is expected to cause several devastating aftershocks, the largest of which could reach 7.0 on the Richter Scale.

In light of the recent earthquake/tsunami disaster in Japan, Hip-Hop has paused for reflection. Rapper Q-Tip, in particular, has been rather supportive of the relief efforts. Today (March 13th), around noon, Tip began a series of tweets simply by stating, “Pray for Japan.”

Tip’s group, A Tribe Called Quest, has performed in Japan, most recently this past August, when they played the “Summer Sonic Festival,” alongside Jay-Z and Nickelback, among others. “Japan is a beautiful place,” Q-Tip continued on his Twitter feed. “Every time I’ve been [there] I’ve had the best time. The people are amazing and the land is perfect. #prayforjapan.” Then he closed his statements, writing: “Their food, culture, their appreciation of the world— Nagoya, Osaka, Toyohashi— these are a few of my favorite things about Japan.”

Tip also retweeted an important link someone sent to him. It was for sending donations through iTunes. “Apple now accepts donations to Red Cross Japan relief fund via iTunes http://aol.it/itunes_relief #prayforjapan,” the tweet read.

Since the disaster the Hip-Hop community has been especially supportive of Japan.

“My prayers go out to everyone in japan!!! We have to love one another and come together as a planet!!!!,” tweeted Chris Brown, also adding, “Life is way too precious to waste on ignorance!!! We have to come together!!! All of us! Every race, gender, etc. I love you all.”

“#prayforjapan this is serious people…what is happening to the world?,” tweeted UK producer Alex Da Kid.

“GOD BLESS everyone in Japan and anyone affected by this disaster- you are in every thought and prayer!!,” tweeted Sean “Diddy” Combs.

An arrest warrant has been issued for “Sin City” and “Reservoir Dogs” star, who reportedly owes $ 570,000 in unpaid child and spousal support, according to TMZ.

The warrant, which under United States law allows for the arrest and detention of the accused by any law enforcement officer, was issued after the 53-year-old Madsen failed to show up for a hearing regarding his unpaid support last week.

Whether he ultimately turns himself in or gets caught and brought to jail, Madsen will have to pay a hefty fine to get back out, with a reported bail of $ 26,000, according to documents obtained by the gossip website.

The Chicago native and Steppenwolf Theater Company veteran, who recently voiced the alien Kilowog in the animated “Green Lantern: First Flight,” and is set to appear in some two dozen upcoming movies according to IMDB.com, has been married three times, to actress Georganne LaPiere, DeAnna Madsen and Jeannine Bisignano, with whom he has two sons.

An accomplished poet and photographer, Madsen is perhaps best known for his iconic role of Vic Vega aka Mr. Blond in Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs.” It has long been rumored that Tarantino was developing a sequel for Madsen and “Pulp Fiction” star John Travolta, who would star together as “The Vega Brothers.”
